Angry Little Girl. Gigi That Is, And I Am Sticking To It.

You know what one of the worst things is that you can suggest to me? If you'd ever come up to me and say: "Hey, want to get together on Saturday and S H O P ?" I would probably give you a blank stare and feverishly rack my brain for a good reason why I CAN'T go shopping with you. If put under severe duress with your questioning I might have an answer such as this one, which is an excuse I used a little while ago:

"Umm no, see I can't- what actually happened is that Judd is out of town indefinitely and the nanny unexpectedly quit and to tell you the truth my dad is suffering from a brain tumor and I must hop on the next plane to Germany and I might not be back for a while, maybe weeks, months, possibly the whole school year. (I DID use this exact excuse a few weeks ago, but it actually wasn't in response to a shopping date request, but rather a final demand from the Boulder City library for a few books that Sebastian had never returned, and  they wanted to know why I hadn't at least ANSWERED their repeated letter to the house. (no one forwarded me the mail in Germany).

The only thing I have to worry about is that this said library is down the street and around the corner from me and the librarian LIVES on our street so maybe I'll have to tell her that it is my super-irresponsible twin in my big red car who has been dodging her. The one that never moved to the States and thus still has a very heavy accent.....Hmmm, I like having a pre-plan, should I be put on the spot.

Library to my House= 0.3 miles

My Green Hornet Twin, we shall call her Iroina
Anyways, I digress.

I shall not be caught shopping. The Eleventh Command, you don't have to have kids in Catholic school to know this.

I don't understand FB status updates that say something to the effect of: "What a great/fantastic/amazing day. I spent it shopping." I could be the older husband sitting in the car/on the bench while the shopping is happening. The big problem that I have: Well, there are two:

We have to eat, and it involves shopping for groceries. I've paid the housekeeper to go (and was severely disappointed when she did not read between the lines and brought NO delicious snacks), I tried convincing Danielle that it is in her job description (and sometimes she has actually gone), I make Judd get "breakfast" on the weekends, and once he's at the store I text him the rest of the list.

The other problem is that we HAVE to buy certain things. Like clothes, and uniforms, and pencils and paper, and pets and couches. I do that online. ALL of it.  Except Gigi's dress for some dance she's going to. The apple does not fall far, apparently.

Okay, so Gigi could be either one of these girls, but she generally reminds of the angry girl.
She has, however, to my knowledge, never said that "B" word. Actually, the only thing that
reminds me of Gigi is the frown on her face. And those bangs, which she used to have.
Coming to think of it,  I would like to be Angry Little Girl.

Anyways, I tried downloading a picture of Gigi trying on a dress on Saturday, but my computer is having issues, and won't let me. I could probably use a new computer, but that would require shopping, and probably in person. I think I'll do the usual, and just beg DH to go buy one. Anyone. Like the washing machine, dryer, and refrigerator in the recent past. He does just fine.
