Time, According To Thorsten

Thorsten: "I am really excited about tomorrow!"
Me: "Why?"
Thorsten: "It is the best schedule EVER. You know how school starts at 8?"
Me: "Aha...?"

Thorsten:  "Well, it takes us like ten minutes to get going, so that puts us at 8:10. Then we'll do something for a little while. Then Chloe's older brother and friend are teaching us from 9-11. But they'll probably be 10 minutes early to get situated and introduced; so we do something from 8:15 (wait, didn't he just say 8:10?) until 8:50, that's like half an hour. Then they'll be there and they are going to play games with us. Then, when Mrs. Forsythe comes back, it'll probably be 11:10 until they pack up and leave. Then at 11:20 we have PE, so we'll probably do nothing in between 11:10-11:20.

Then we have PE until 11:50, but it takes us like 10 minutes to wash up and have a drink afterwards. So, we'll be back around 12:00, and lunch starts at 12:20, but we pack up our stuff and get ready like 10 minutes before, so really we'll probably do nothing. Then we have lunch from 12:20-12:45, but she usually leaves us an extra 5 minutes; then we have recess, until 1:15, and it usually takes us 10 minutes to get situated in the afternoon, so it"ll be like 1:30. Then I think we have Spanish, and school gets out at 2:45, so we get ready to go home around 2:30. So, really we only have like one hour of class all day! I am SOOOO excited!"

I look at him incredulously, because I can't quite figure out if he is trying to be funny. He's nodding fervently, with big bright eyes. So I just nod along and acknowledge that he will probably have a pretty fantastic, 60-minute-day.
